Tick Tock

I did a parody of the song "TiK ToK" by Kesha because I remembered loving that song when it was popular and it brings back a lot of good memories. The inspirations to this were like I said, loving the song in the past as well as for the lyrics, they were inspired by online school and life in the pandemic. I grew in a few ways from doing this project, I believe that my Pro Tools skills have increased from doing this project as well as my growing in my creativity. Some struggles that I encountered throughout this project were not being able to come across a song that both my partner and I liked because I didn't want to have to sing but also I didn’t want to rap over any explicit lyrics. Even though I didn’t want to sing, I agreed to do this song because I thought it would be funny.

If I could change anything about this song, I would probably change the theme because a lot of other people also wrote about online school but other than that, the song production actually went really well. I could change this by completely starting over and rewriting the lyrics, but that would be very difficult. I am most proud of the second chorus that I sang, I think the flow and everything went beautifully. Compared to the actual song it is very similar in the flow and I think that is what makes it so good. I will use these things I learned in Pro Tools in other projects in Pro Tools. Also, I can try to take this project and apply it to life in the sense of being out of my comfort zone because that was an important part of the production of this was being comfortable with singing even though I didn’t like it. This project changes the way I look at others' art because now I realize how difficult it can be to step out of your comfort zone in certain art forms.
